Dedicated to the memory of Mr. John Swett 1830- 1913
We humbly dedicate the following remembrances to the honorable Mr. John Swett who is credited for being the Father of the Modern California Educational System . But more than that we honor his life and memory for all that he gave us as Alhambra Alumni. He took the bold step as our founder and served as the First President of the Alhambra Union High School District. Nearly 110 Graduating Classes of this High School he started owe him their thanks for their education and their treasured memories. May he rest in peace, he did us proud!!!
